The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique riding experience and hiking experience that is to be loved by everyone.
In the 42-kilometer Jerusalem Ring Path cycling route that surrounds Jerusalem's capital, the Kerem Tunnel was inaugurated.

Elkin's Ministerial, Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and Gihon Corporation contributed approximately NIS 25,000,000 to the project. Work was performed by the Jerusalem Development Authority.

"The Kerem Tunnel project is a central tool for realizing the idea to alter the notion of transportation across Jerusalem," Elkin stressed. The Kerem Tunnel was first excavated in the 1990s to move the main sewer line of the Gihon Corporation toward the purification plant in Sorek, which is located just west of the city. It is currently being used as an infrastructure tunnel. It also houses the fifth water line, which connects to Jerusalem of the Mekorot water company.

The works currently underway include road construction, installation of blowers, as well as advanced security and electrical systems in order to ensure that the tunnel is secure for the public to pass through all year round.
